Samurai from a Greek

I am busy as hell but after I saw all these good paintings I couldn't resist to do my own version of Samurai. well this is my version. I wanted to show the samurai before his battle. Tell me what you guys think. keep up the good work.

I like the subtle colors in the shoulder pad. Is this digital?
I have the book that you got the guy from!! funny. over all good job but it kinda feels like hes drifting off the page..hmmm...
it's digital, I know it is drifting off the page because my original scetch had a chinese painting with a dragon, which made the piece way too busy but I thought I would put the japanese sun it would be more simple and more subtle. I couldn't rotate the layers to make him sit straight up, because my whole painting was a mess off layers and more layers.
If you put more elements on it that are tilted in other angles, it would look more like a collage, and the drifting wont be an issue anymore...
I like the color you are using.
for the most part, i like it, but it may benefit the piece to have some more saturated hues in the flowers or the samurai - maybe raise the samurai a bit, also
