POOL SHARK
02 April, 2006

Well this is my piece for Pool Shark. I thought it would be fun to draw a shark going after the pool balls. I wanted to paint this in painter but the copy I have is crashing on me, so I used photoshop. I didn't get the rsults I wanted with the pastels in photoshop, I think if I have used painter I could better colors, deeper more real.

I dunno man, I like the color choices you made, especially how the color/value contrast gets stronger around the balls (maybe the same contrast around the shark fin?) And the chalk is an awesome choice too. The whole purple/yellow thing is nice.
the colors look pretty good, but i think adding a lighter, more saturated value to the shark would bring a little more attention to it, and i'd also twist the point of view just a bit so that the shark was a little more to the left, and the pool balls on a third to the right. i think it's a good idea though, and well-painted
interesting way of handeling this theme Malaka. Maybe the purple could be toned down though. Not sure what I'm gonna do yet.
The blue by the shark confuses me a little as a shape, but I will agree that I like the piece.
