This is fuckin cool. I love the colors and design. My only crit is that I think there are too many of the pencil outlined waves. it gets a little busy there, but the rest of it blows my mind. My fav.
I love the piece. One of my favourites also. I don't know if it is busy because of the pencil lines, Maybe it needs some coloured lines. I also think it may need some color in the left corner of the white sky. that way it will bring the focus point on the boat and not on the right hand corner. I Love the piece and I want to make it a screen saver for my double screens at work, but Mirna you have to draw me some more water. for the left screen. Nice work.
That is a great illustration...it really feels like that ship is done for and being overwhelmed by the waves....great job...keep it up.
Mirna! I think this is one of my favorites so far! I don't mind the penciled lines, i think that this idea would work better if the boat was a little more vibrant in color to seperate it from the "depressing" storm. (Even though the situation looks bleak you still get the feeling that the boat might brave the oncoming storm).
I hear what all you guys are saying but the more I look at it the more it makes me feel like the desicions Mirna made were excellent ones. I have no problem seeing the boat right away and I actually like the simplicity of the space around the boat because it enhances the calm before the storm feeling. I dont mind the pencil lines or that they are busy because they are in the middle of the storm and thats were the storms real power comes from, I feel like it enhances the feeling of power nad chaos yet its still delicate enough because of the line weight. I think is sophisticated and well thought out, but thats just me. Nice comp also, love this piece Mirna Good job!!
mirna i have to agree with carlos, i was blown away as soon as i saw it. great design.
