Hurray! You're published...again! You know how I feel about these, awesome as usual.
Nice. very professional looking. I love the reflection in the window of the 3rd piece.
congrats lisa. lookin' good
Hi,
I love the carwash - an encapsulation of happy industrious activity. I love the chain link fence, the movement of the foam over the car, and the way the paired children are interacting.
The dry cleaners picture is wonderful, as well. It is very demonstrative, with the (Chinese?) man poking the little boy on the shoulder and the eye contact between the two people. Hands are quite difficult to draw, but you have excelled in this area where you have drawn the boy holding a hose reel.
Regards,
Coral
This is really amazing. I find it hard to believe that I'm surfing a blog site of a Illustrator for the Highlights Magazine.
Here in India, I subscribed to Highlights way back when I was 11/12 years old, through one of its distributors. At that time, I remember, Mr. Brown was the Editor. I had written him a letter, following Ruskin Bond's story.
Though, I didn't get a reply, and was not able to subscribe furthermore, I still have those copies with me.
I can bet cent percent, HIGHLIGHTS follows a cartoon stylesheet, which you've followed too. And I like it to the extent.
Thanks!
Thanks everyone!
...what is a cartoon stylesheet?
